Character Trait of the Month – Responsibility
6 Ways to Make Responsible Choices
Consider what might happen – think before you act.
Help yourself be responsible by getting and staying organized.
Obey rules and laws in your home, school, and community.
Ignore bad ideas that pop in your head. Change what you are doing or think about something good instead.
Choose the choice that’s best for you and for others – the one that feels right inside.
Earn people’s trust by showing that they can count on you.
“You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say.” - Martin Luther King
Congratulations to Twin Creeks’ 1st grader, Constantine for receiving an Award of Merit at the state level for the California State PTA Reflections competition for his photography piece – Peace. See attached photo.
“My photo shows the sound of my voice saying the word “peace”. The sound travels from a speaker through two colored liquids. I chose the colors blue and yellow. They are the colors of the flag of Ukraine. The colors mix to green. Green is the color of hope. I hope the war in Ukraine will end soon. I hope there will be peace again in Ukraine.”

CAASPP Testing: Testing begins Monday, April 17h and continues through May 5th for students in grades 3rd – 5th. Your child’s teacher will send home their testing schedule to let you know your class’ exact testing days and times.
Ways you can prepare your child for testing:
- Have your child get a good nights’ sleep.
- Make sure your child has a good breakfast.
- Provide your child with a healthy snack.
- Make sure your child is at school on time.
- Avoid scheduling appointments for your child during this time.
Although it is important that our students are at school on testing days, please do not send your child to school if he/she is ill. We will have make-up days for students that are absent. Test results will be mailed to you during the summer.
